How much does a website cost?
We offer a complete website package
for performing artists for $195, which includes a Home Page (with your
main headshot, latest news and a contact email link), plus your domain name,
private domain service, web hosting, and a web-based email account for
the first year. You can add more pages at any
time for $75 each. We also offer custom website designs starting at
$425 and complete website update and maintenance services.

How long will
it take to create my website?
If you have chosen
our Actor Website Package your site will be online and working for you within 7 to 10 business days,
once we have received your materials and payment. Custom websites may take longer, depending upon their complexity.

Can I add pages to my website?
Yes. Web pages can be added to your Website Package or your custom
website at any time - when
you first place your order or as an update later on. Just contact us or

Can I add my
audio and video reels to my site?
Yes. We can add a reel page
with 3 audio and/or video clips (up to 5 minutes total) to your site for $75.
If your clips are on CD, cassette, DVD, VHS or MiniDV we'll digitize
them and optimize them for the web at no additional charge.

How many photos can
I put on my site?
The Website Package includes your main headshot / photo on your Home
Page. If you add a Photo Gallery, we'll put 6 more photos on that
page. The Bio page comes with 3 more photos and the Reviews &
Press page comes with 1 more photo.

How
much does it cost to add extra photos?
Additional or replacement photos are $10 each.

Can you scan my
photos for me?
Yes. We'll scan all your photos
(prints, contact sheets, or slides) and optimize them for the web at no extra charge.

Can I sell autographed photos, CDs, DVDs, t-shirts and tour merchandise online?
Yes. We can create an eStore on your
site with a secure PayPal account and an online order form for $75 (up

we offer more advanced eCommerce solutions including real-time credit card processing and an internet merchant account.

Website Updates
How can I make
changes to my site?
After your site is finished, we'll be happy to update your site
or add new pages whenever you like. Just
contact us or
order online.

What are website updates?
Regular updates are the best way to keep your site current and
interesting by revising outdated info and adding new features. Updates
include content changes such as a news item, bio or résumé revision, a
new headshot or photo, an additional video or audio clip, new contact
info, a press release or review or new links.

How much does it
cost to update my site?
Text updates are $10,
additional / replacement photos are $10 each, additional / replacement audio
clips (voiceovers, song demos) are $5 per minute, additional / replacement
video reels and clips are $10 per minute, new pages are $75

Domain Names
What is a
domain name?
Your domain name is your unique address on the Internet. It
is registered with an ICANN accredited registrar. For example, our
domain name is ActorWebs.com. Most domain names end
with .com, but other extensions such as .net and .org are also
available. Domains are
also used with your email account, allowing you to
send and receive email using an address such as You@YourName.com.

Can you
register a domain name for me?
Yes. We register your
domain name free for one year with your
Actor Website Package. After the first year, we renew your domain name for
$11.95/year.

What if I
already registered my domain name?
We'll transfer your domain name to our registrar, and give you a free one-year extension.

How do I know
if my domain name is available?
To check the availability of a
domain name, go to our
Self-Service Station, enter
the domain name you want to check, and click "Search". The
next window will tell you if your name is available. If you
prefer, contact us and we'll
be happy to check for you.

What if the
domain name I want is already taken?
If the domain name you want is already
taken, try a .net extension rather than .com. You can
also try
adding a dash between your first and last names, using
your initial instead of your first name, or adding your middle
initial.

Web Hosting
What is a web host?
A web host provides the place
on the Internet where your website files are stored. The web host uses powerful computers called servers with
specialized software and extremely fast connections to the Internet.
When someone visits your site, they use your URL (for example http://www.actorwebs.com)
to contact that
server, which presents the website requested.

Do you provide
web hosting?
Yes. We include your first year of web hosting free
with your Actor Website Package. The hosting plan features 10GB of disk space,
300GB of monthly data transfer (bandwidth),
500 web-based email accounts (with a spam filter, auto-responders,
calendar, and address book),
daily backups, and 24x7 monitoring. After the first year, we renew your
web hosting for $5.95/month.

I am currently
hosted at another company. How do I switch to ActorWebs?
Just
contact us. We'll be happy to
transfer your domain name and / or existing website to our registrar and servers
quickly and affordably.

Can I use a
different web host?
Yes, but we prefer that you use our web hosting services. Our
Actor Website Package includes the first year of hosting on our servers. We cannot prorate the package price if you
choose to be hosted elsewhere.

Email
Does my website
come with email?
Yes, 500 email accounts are
included with your web hosting. Your
email account features Webmail, which means you can
conveniently send and receive email
from any computer in the world with a connection to the Internet. You
can also forward the email from your website to another email
address or set up your Blackberry or a desktop email client
such as Outlook to send and receive your emails.

Once your site
has been created and
uploaded to our servers, it will be accessible to anyone who enters your
